Climate Policy Radar Cover Letter

Dear Hiring Manager, I am writing in regards to the research assistant position at Climate Policy Radar. I am immensely excited about the possibility of joining such a forward-thinking and innovative organisation, and firmly believe that I have the skills and experience needed to excel in this role. As a research assistant, I would be responsible for conducting research on a variety of topics related to climate change and environmental policy. This would involve utilising a range of data sources, including online databases, government reports and academic journals. In addition to this, I would also be required to assist in the preparation of reports and presentations, as well as attending meetings and conferences. I am confident that I possess the necessary skills and attributes to excel in this role. I have a keen eye for detail and a meticulous approach to my work, which would ensure that all research is of the highest quality. In addition to this, I have excellent organisational skills and am able to work effectively under pressure, meeting deadlines as required. I am also a competent user of Microsoft Office, and have experience of using a range of online research tools. Previous experience in conducting research, along with my strong academic track record, has provided me with the skills needed to succeed in this role. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from the University of London, and have recently completed my Master’s degree in Environmental Policy at the University of Edinburgh. My dissertation, which focused on the role of environmental taxes in promoting sustainable development, received an excellent mark and was commended by my supervisor. I am passionate about environmental issues and am committed to working towards mitigating the effects of climate change. I believe that Climate Policy Radar is making a valuable contribution in this area, and I would be proud to be a part of the team. I am keen to utilise my skills and experience in a role that makes a positive impact on the world, and I believe that this position would offer me the perfect opportunity to do so.
