Dear Jeff,
I am writing to express my interest in the Adaptive Snowboard Instructor position at Breckenridge Outdoor Education Company. My name is Emma Rigby and I am a passionate snowboarder with a strong desire to share my love for this sport with others. The opportunity to work with adaptive snowboarders at your company is truly exciting and I am eager to contribute my skills and abilities to this role.
From the moment I came across the job listing, I knew that this position was meant for me. As a dedicated snowboarder for the past 10 years, I have always been drawn to the idea of teaching others how to ride and experience the exhilarating rush of carving down a mountain. However, what sets this role apart for me is the chance to work with adaptive snowboarders. I have always been inspired by individuals who overcome challenges and limitations, and the thought of being able to help them enjoy the freedom and joy of snowboarding is incredibly fulfilling.
What I find particularly appealing about Breckenridge Outdoor Education Company is your commitment to providing inclusive and accessible outdoor experiences for all individuals. This aligns perfectly with my own values and beliefs. I strongly believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the great outdoors, regardless of their abilities. Your company's dedication to this mission is something that I truly admire and it is one of the main reasons why I am so eager to join your team.
I have been snowboarding since I was 15 years old and it has been a major part of my life ever since. Over the years, I have honed my skills and have become a competent and confident rider. I have also completed my Level 2 Snowboard Instructor Certification through the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA). This certification has not only enhanced my technical abilities, but it has also taught me the importance of effective communication and patience when teaching others. I am confident that my skills and experience will make me a valuable asset to your team.
In addition to my technical skills, I also possess a genuine passion for teaching and helping others. I have experience working with children as a snowboard instructor at my local ski resort, and I have found it to be incredibly rewarding. Seeing the joy and excitement on a student's face when they successfully ride down a slope for the first time is an indescribable feeling. I am excited about the opportunity to work with adaptive snowboarders, as I believe it will not only allow me to share my love for snowboarding, but also make a meaningful impact on their lives.
Moreover, I am a quick learner and I am always eager to expand my knowledge and skills. I am familiar with adaptive snowboarding techniques and equipment, and I am confident that with proper training and guidance, I will be able to effectively adapt my teaching style to meet the needs of each individual student. I am also CPR and First Aid certified, which I believe is essential for any outdoor education instructor.
In addition to my snowboarding experience, I also have a strong background in customer service. I have worked in the hospitality industry for the past five years and have developed excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills. I understand the importance of providing exceptional service and creating a positive and welcoming environment for customers. I believe these skills will be valuable in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students at Breckenridge Outdoor Education Company.
In conclusion, I am extremely passionate about snowboarding and teaching, and I am eager to bring my skills and enthusiasm to Breckenridge Outdoor Education Company as an Adaptive Snowboard Instructor. I am confident that my experience, dedication, and passion make me a strong candidate for this position. Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss my qualifications further.
Sincerely,
Emma Rigby
