Dear Sir/Madam, I am interested in applying for the position of Associate Director, Programmes at BRAC International. I am a senior program manager with over 15 years of experience in strategic programme management and development. I have professional knowledge in diverse development approaches, and demonstrable leadership, organisational, managerial and communication skills. In my current position at the Australian High Commission, I am leading on Australia's engagement in the education and skills development sectors. My position as State Department Advisor at the U.S. Embassy has involved me in identifying, designing and formulating programs consistent and convergent with American policy objectives. I have experience in working and collaborating with diverse sets of stakeholders, such as local NGOs, government officials, donor representatives, local and international staff. I have also worked as Assistant Director of SIL International, with overall responsibility for the country operation in Bangladesh. I was also involved in making partnerships with different NGOs. At the British High Commission, I worked as Deputy Programme Manager, managing and implementing a portfolio of projects. My position with CDD as Deputy Manager-Monitoring, Evaluation & Program Development involved me in development project management, including planning and design, contracting, results based management, monitoring and reporting of projects. I am attracted to this position at BRAC International because of my interest in working with an organisation that is committed to poverty alleviation and social justice.
