Dear Hiring Manager, I am writing to express my utmost enthusiasm for the LS EAL teacher position at AISZ. As a highly skilled and passionate educator with a strong background in teaching English as an Additional Language, I am confident that I possess the necessary qualities to excel in this role. First and foremost, let me introduce myself. My name is Marija Miletic and I have been teaching EAL for the past 8 years. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with diverse groups of students from various cultural and linguistic backgrounds. This experience has not only enriched my teaching abilities, but also instilled in me a deep appreciation for cultural diversity and the importance of inclusive education. What excites me the most about this particular position at AISZ is the school's commitment to providing a well-rounded education for its students. I have always been passionate about fostering not only academic growth, but also social and emotional development in my students. I firmly believe that a holistic approach to education is crucial in preparing students for the challenges of the real world. After researching AISZ, I was impressed by the school's emphasis on global citizenship, community service, and extracurricular activities. These are values that align perfectly with my own teaching philosophy and I am eager to contribute to the school's mission. One aspect of the LS EAL teacher position that caught my attention is the opportunity to work with students from various age groups. Having experience teaching both elementary and middle school students, I am confident in my ability to adapt my teaching strategies and materials to suit the needs and interests of different age groups. I am also excited about the prospect of collaborating with other teachers and specialists to create a supportive learning environment for our students. Teamwork and collaboration have always been key components of my teaching approach and I am eager to continue this at AISZ. In addition to my teaching experience, I hold a Bachelor's degree in Education with a specialization in Teaching English as a Second Language. I am also a certified ESL teacher and have completed several professional development courses in areas such as differentiated instruction and cultural competency. These qualifications have not only equipped me with the necessary pedagogical skills, but have also allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the needs of EAL students and how to best support them in their language learning journey. One of my greatest strengths as a teacher is my ability to create engaging and interactive lessons that cater to the diverse learning styles and abilities of my students. I am a strong believer in making learning fun and meaningful, and I am always exploring new ways to incorporate technology and real-life experiences into my lessons. I am also skilled in assessing students' language proficiency and using data to inform my instruction and track their progress. In my current role, I have successfully helped many students improve their English language skills and achieve their academic goals. Aside from my teaching skills, I am also a strong communicator and have excellent interpersonal skills. I am able to establish positive and respectful relationships with my students, colleagues, and parents. I am also a proactive problem solver and have experience in managing challenging classroom situations with patience and empathy. I believe these qualities are essential in creating a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable and motivated to learn. In addition to my qualifications and experience, I am also fluent in three languages – English, Serbian, and Spanish. This has not only allowed me to connect with my students on a deeper level, but has also given me a unique perspective on language learning and cultural diversity. I am confident that my language abilities will be an asset in a multicultural and international school like AISZ. I am thrilled about the possibility of joining the team at AISZ and contributing to the school's vision of providing a well-rounded education to its students. I am confident that my skills, experience, and passion for teaching will make me a valuable addition to the school community.
