Dear Carys Pike, I am writing in regards to the position of Demonstrator at Aberystwyth University. I am immensely interested in the role and would love to be given the opportunity to demonstrate my skills and abilities. I have a strong academic background, having graduated from the University of Oxford with a First Class Honours degree in Chemistry. I am currently in the process of completing my PhD in Organic Chemistry at the University of Cambridge. My research experience has given me a deep understanding of the subject matter and I am confident that I can convey this knowledge to students in an engaging and accessible manner. In addition to my academic credentials, I have also developed excellent communication and interpersonal skills. I have previous experience of working with groups of students, both in a teaching capacity and as a tutor, and I am confident that I have the ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities. I am also an effective team player and have no difficulty working collaboratively with others. I believe that I have the skills and attributes necessary to excel in the role of Demonstrator and I would be keen to put my skills to use in an academic setting. I am eager to learn and am confident that I can make a positive contribution to the department.
