Dear Lori Kintz and Francie Wesorick,
I am writing to express my deep interest in the Dexter Farm to School Garden and 5HF Community Health Internship opportunity with 5 Healthy Towns, as advertised on your website. My name is Tess Blaska and I am a highly motivated and creative individual with excellent computer skills and strong communication abilities. I am confident that my skills and passion for community health make me a strong candidate for this internship role.
As a recent graduate in public health, I have always been drawn to organizations that prioritize community health and wellness. When I came across the internship opportunity at 5 Healthy Towns, I was immediately intrigued by the company's mission to promote healthy living in five small towns in Southeastern Michigan. I have always been passionate about making a positive impact in my community and I believe that this internship will provide me with the perfect platform to do so.
What I particularly love about this position is the opportunity to work on the Dexter Farm to School Garden project. As someone who has always been interested in sustainable living and the importance of healthy eating, I am excited about the opportunity to work on a project that combines both of these aspects. The idea of creating a garden that not only provides fresh and nutritious produce to the community but also educates children about the importance of healthy eating is truly inspiring. I am eager to be a part of this project and contribute my skills and ideas to make it a success.
In terms of skills, I am confident that I possess the necessary qualities to excel in this internship role. As a creative individual, I have always been able to think outside the box and come up with innovative solutions to problems. I believe that this will be an asset when it comes to planning and implementing the garden project and finding creative ways to engage the community. Additionally, my strong computer skills will come in handy when it comes to data analysis and creating visually appealing presentations for community outreach.
Communication is another skill that I have honed through my academic and professional experiences. I am a confident speaker and an active listener, which has helped me effectively communicate with diverse groups of people. This skill will be crucial when working with the community and building relationships with local organizations and stakeholders. Furthermore, my ability to problem-solve and think on my feet will be an asset in this role. I am not afraid to take on challenges and I am always willing to put in the extra effort to find solutions and achieve results.
One of my strongest attributes is my motivation and attention to detail. I am someone who takes great pride in my work and I always strive for excellence. This has been reflected in my academic achievements, where I consistently maintained a high GPA, and in my previous work experiences, where I have received positive feedback for my attention to detail. I am confident that I will bring this same level of dedication and commitment to my work at 5 Healthy Towns.
In addition to my skills, I also bring a strong passion for community health and wellness. I have always been involved in various volunteer activities, whether it be organizing health fairs or leading wellness workshops. I am a firm believer that small actions can make a big impact and I am excited about the opportunity to make a positive difference in the five towns that 5 Healthy Towns serves.
I am confident that this internship will provide me with the perfect opportunity to further develop my skills and gain valuable hands-on experience in the field of community health. I am eager to learn from the experienced team at 5 Healthy Towns and contribute my skills and ideas to make a meaningful impact. I am also excited about the potential for this internship to turn into a long-term career opportunity.
Thank you for considering my application. I am confident that I have the skills, passion, and motivation to excel in this role and make a valuable contribution to 5 Healthy Towns. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss my qualifications further.
Sincerely,
Tess Blaska
