The Sewing Instructor at IRC is responsible for facilitating sewing classes, guiding participants through skill-building projects, and maintaining a safe, organized, and inclusive classroom environment. The role includes preparing materials, delivering hands-on lessons, teaching machine use and maintenance, providing feedback, and supporting participant progress. The instructor will also assist with special activities like field trips and celebrations, track attendance and progress, and submit a final report on program outcomes. The position emphasizes cultural sensitivity, effective communication, and the ability to create an encouraging learning atmosphere.
