TrustedHousesitters is a fast growing, direct-to-consumer marketplace that is redefining pet care and travel. Here at TrustedHousesitters, we’re on a mission to make travel work better for pets, for their people, and for the global community of animal lovers who look after them. We’ve got big plans on becoming the world’s most-loved travel solution for pet people. We’ve built something pretty special: a trusted place where pet owners and sitters connect to keep pets happy at home while their humans explore the world. We’ve already grown into a global community with members in over 140 countries, a product people genuinely love, and a team of more than 100 brilliant humans powering it all. But we’re only just getting started. Our goal? To grow to 1 million members and make TrustedHousesitters the world’s most-loved travel solution for pet people. At the moment, a sit starts every two minutes somewhere on the planet. We want that to be every single minute and we know the only way we’ll get there is with the right people in the right roles. The right people in the right roles will shape our future. So, here’s the big question: Could that be you? More about the role: We’re hiring a Corporate Communications & PR Lead to build the next evolution of our brand story, blending a high-impact corporate narrative with bold, proactive integrated campaigns. This is a senior, strategic leadership role focused on telling the TrustedHousesitters story in a way that builds equity, fuels growth, and supports our ambition to become one of the UK’s leading global tech success stories. You’ll also play a critical role in helping TrustedHousesitters become a household name, driving mass awareness through standout campaigns that get people talking. Your work will help shape how investors, media, talent, policymakers, and the public perceive us as a purpose-driven, category-defining business. You’ll sit within the Brand team, working alongside the Head of Brand & Content, Head of Charitable Partnership and the Copy Lead to create joined-up narratives across owned, earned, and shared channels. You’ll report directly to the Brand Director and will work closely with cross-functional leaders to ensure our communications reinforce business priorities, protect brand reputation, and unlock new opportunities for growth. What You'll be responsible for: - Own and deliver a strategic corporate communications agenda that positions TrustedHousesitters as a global success story. Develop proactive and reactive corporate comms that respond to cultural moments, business news, and shifting media landscapes. - Build compelling narratives that support long-term value creation: tech investment, team growth, global expansion, and product innovation. - Partner closely with executives to align messaging with investor, employer brand, and policy goals. - Work with internal teams and a corporate comms PR agency to ensure consistent, high-quality execution across all media touchpoints. - Lead crisis communications: advising on issues, shaping responses, and managing media inquiries to protect reputation. - Identify opportunities for executive profiling and thought leadership, including emerging formats such as TikTok, YouTube, and short-form commentary. - Collaborate with the Consumer PR team to ensure lifestyle and cultural PR aligns with key brand narratives. - Help identify trends, cultural moments, and real-world behaviours that can fuel earned media. - Partner with Brand, Content, and Social teams to ensure a unified narrative across all channels. - Help shape PR elements of multi-channel brand activations, ensuring earned-first ideas ladder back to our brand values. - Ensure campaigns are insight-led, reactive when needed, and delivered at the pace the business requires. - Act as a key thought partner to the Brand Director and senior stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Member Services, and the Executive Team. - Build strong relationships with business, travel, lifestyle, and tech journalists. - Collaborate cross-functionally to refine messaging during fast-moving or sensitive moments. - Provide day-to-day strategic direction to our PR agencies to ensure execution is aligned and high-performing. - Define and track KPIs that measure corporate reputation, sentiment, awareness, and earned media impact. - Build simple, scalable reporting frameworks to help teams understand performance and optimise future comms. - Tie earned media and corporate comms back to brand strength and commercial outcomes. The role offers a salary of £60,000 - £75,000 per year. Benefits include fully remote work, equity options, discretionary 10% annual bonus, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas closure, pension scheme, pet owner and sitter membership benefits, travel allowances, home office stipend, Macbook, pet adoption fee coverage, team meet-ups, personal development support, health and dental insurance, healthcare cash plan, employee volunteering, weekly yoga, Bikeshare, referral bonus, and more. Requirements: - 10 years of experience in PR or corporate communications, with in-house and agency experience preferred in fast-moving or scale-up environments. - Strong storytelling instincts and ability to translate data, trends, and market context into narratives. - Cultural intelligence and interest in current affairs. - Proven track record of crafting compelling corporate narratives supporting brand equity and valuation. - Strong UK tech & business media relationships; US media experience a plus. - Proactive and reactive comms experience, especially in fast-paced environments. - Experience managing external agencies and shaping executive messaging. - Ability to work with C-suite and senior stakeholders.
