This role serves as the critical liaison between branch operations and underwriting, responsible for clearing title issues identified on Schedule B and Schedule C between commitment issuance and closing. This is a highly specialized Texas-only role requiring deep knowledge of Texas title law, TLTA policies and endorsements, and hands-on curative experience. This position is 100% remote, supporting Texas branches and escrow officers operating on Central Time. Core responsibilities include reviewing, analyzing, and resolving curative items, evaluating affidavits, probates, divorces, powers of attorney, and other documents for compliance with Texas underwriting standards. The role also involves applying strong working knowledge of Texas title insurance law, including regulations, policies, endorsements, homestead laws, community property rules, and intestacy laws. Additional duties include performing targeted title examinations, reviewing surveys for encroachments, and supporting branch and escrow teams with guidance and drafting objection responses.
