The Junior Paralegal supports Atlanta Habitat’s mission of building affordable housing and strengthening communities by assisting in the management and coordination of legal matters related to Atlanta Habitat’s home purchase and preservation programs. This role ensures legal compliance, facilitates communication between stakeholders, and helps resolve legal issues that may arise during the implementation of Atlanta Habitat’s programs. The Jr. Paralegal reports to the Sr. Paralegal and is part of the Homeowner Services team. Responsibilities include recording property deeds, preparing and distributing legal documents, examining title commitments, preparing security deed cancellations, filing documents, assisting with loan estimates and closing documents, managing closing exhibits, and supporting post-closing requirements. Additional tasks involve copying documents for assistance programs and transferring mortgage accounts. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 2-3 years of relevant administrative experience, and skills in communication, legal procedures, organization, and familiarity with Microsoft Office and Salesforce. The role is based in Atlanta, GA, with an emphasis on legal and administrative support for housing programs.
