Commonland (Stichting Commonland) is a Netherlands-based non-profit foundation focused on large-scale landscape restoration and sustainable land use. Founded in 2013, Commonland works with partners — including local communities, businesses, NGOs, and governments — to restore degraded landscapes across multi-stakeholder ‘4 Returns’ programs that aim to deliver inspiration, social capital, natural capital, and financial return. The organization provides program design, facilitation, capacity building and strategic partnerships to create regenerative business models and scalable landscape restoration initiatives. Commonland is known for its international projects, thought leadership in landscape restoration and sustainability, and for mobilizing blended finance and cross-sector collaboration to achieve long-term ecological and socio-economic impacts.

Lead the co-design and delivery of the UK/Ireland multi-year Lab: develop participatory, multi-stakeholder learning processes using systems thinking, design methodologies and transformative facilitation; support landscape partners to identify and address root causes of environmental and social challenges; strengthen connections among participating initiatives as a learning community; collaborate with a pool of facilitators and hosts to deliver learning experiences; contribute to Commonland’s global learning infrastructure and develop tools and guides to support Labs globally.
