Plasmidsaurus is seeking a Vice President of Lab Operations to lead and scale our global lab operations. This role will report to the CTO and ensure that our labs operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance as we continue to innovate and expand our products and international customer base. The VP of Labs will oversee all aspects of global lab operations, including personnel, safety, procurement, compliance, and QA, while leading a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. The position is based out of Louisville, KY, San Francisco, CA, or Boston, MA, with frequent travel to international locations. Responsibilities include designing global lab strategies, leading personnel development, supporting regulated operations, developing data architecture, and planning capacity and technology investments. The role requires managing budgets, developing SOPs, vendor relationships, safety programs, and ensuring compliance with regulations like OSHA, biosafety, and waste disposal. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in laboratory management, experience in global operations, process optimization, QA, and strong leadership skills. A degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or related fields is preferred.
