The Senior Clinical Scientist is involved in the design, monitoring, and data analysis of the Company’s late-phase clinical trials studying growth hormone, parathyroid hormone, and/or C-type natriuretic peptide therapies. As such, the Senior Clinical Scientist is an important and visible member of the Clinical Development team. The Senior Clinical Scientist position is based in the United States ideally the Scientist will work hybrid from our Palo Alto, CA office but we may consider a remote arrangement for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities include designing, overseeing, and supporting clinical trials, ensuring documentation, participating in study and cross-functional teams, maintaining study integrity, analyzing data, contributing to clinical documents, collaborating with colleagues, cultivating relationships with investigative sites and key opinion leaders, supporting strategic initiatives, and traveling up to 20% domestically and internationally.
Qualifications include an advanced degree (Ph.D., Pharm.D., MS, or equivalent), a strong track record in scientific and clinical inquiry, understanding of statistical concepts and trial design, excellent communication skills, ability to learn quickly, multi-task, work ethically, and lead by example. Preferred experience includes at least 4 years in clinical trial design and execution, pharmaceutical industry experience, and regulatory interactions.
The estimated salary range is $170,000 - $190,000 USD per year, DOE, with potential bonuses, stock incentives, benefits, and other perks.
