At Vertical Aerospace, we are pioneering the way for electric aviation. The VX4, our eVTOL (electric, vertical, take-off and landing), 'zero emissions' aircraft will set a new safety standard for how we will navigate the sky. We won't realise our mission following the same legacy processes and traditions our predecessors followed, instead, we want to 'redefine' aerospace best practices. We are growing quickly from a prototype business to a scaling SME, and the next few years will be critical to our success and delivering on our ambitious goals of having the VX4 in service by 2030. The role involves coordinating external design teams and delivery partners, leading technical infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with safety and building regulations, working cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams, managing project timelines, budgets, and risks, developing scopes of work, supporting procurement, monitoring contractor performance, providing project reporting, and identifying opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the RIBA Plan of Work, experience managing technical property or infrastructure projects, understanding of UK building regulations and health & safety legislation, ability to engage with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders, experience managing budgets and procurement, interpreting technical drawings, and a relevant degree or professional qualification in construction, engineering, architecture, or project management.
