Description
- Cosmic AC is Tether Data's GPU compute and managed inference platform delivered as a self-hosted package on Kubernetes with a JavaScript control plane.
- The Technical Lead owns the architecture and delivery of the stack and leads an engineering team (~12 engineers) across backend, frontend, DevOps, QA and documentation.
- Responsibilities include owning platform architecture (high- and low-level designs), team leadership and line management, designing/building/operating a managed Slurm service for research users, owning Kubernetes control plane and GPU enablement on partner-provided bare metal, designing managed inference at scale (multi-GPU/node parallelism, autoscaling, request routing), establishing observability (metrics, logging, alerts, SLOs), incident response and an on-call model, acting as primary technical interface to infrastructure partners and vendors, translating internal consumer requirements, and completing hiring for the platform team.
- The role reports to the Senior Technical Product Manager and requires hands-on work with a fixed delivery window in the first six months.
