Description
  • Sourcegraph’s Code Understanding team builds the surfaces where AI intelligence meets developers — Deep Search, Query Assist, Smart Hovers, guided diff review, and the APIs that humans and agents rely on.
  • As the staff ML & Agentic Systems Engineer, you will be the technical owner for models, evaluations, and agentic systems: designing and hardening multi-step tool-using agent loops into reliable, observable, and affordable products at enterprise scale; choosing and upgrading models and fine-tuning when appropriate; improving retrieval and context engineering to ground models in customer code; and treating cost and latency as product constraints.
  • You will work on a small senior-leaning team that ships quickly, participate in on-call rotation, engage with customers, and influence technical direction across the department.
