Description
- The Senior QA Engineer plays an important part in the product development process by conducting tests before product launches to ensure software runs smoothly and meets client needs.
- The role involves collaborating closely with product managers and developers to understand requirements and design specifications, developing and implementing comprehensive test strategies and detailed test plans, authoring functional and integration test cases, executing test cases, publishing test reports, tracking quality metrics (defect density, test coverage, open defect counts), designing and developing test automation approaches, owning testing and configuration management, creating mocks and stubs for isolated testing, and acting as the primary QA contact for Product Managers and Developers.
