Description
- Mirantis is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join the MOSK (Mirantis OpenStack for Kubernetes) product team.
- The role involves designing, validating, and evolving a cloud-native OpenStack platform that enables enterprise private clouds.
- Responsibilities include contributing to product roadmap, lifecycle management, feature validation, technical design reviews, automation development, CI/CD pipeline management, troubleshooting, and acting as a product knowledge authority.
- The engineer will support complex customer environments, analyze performance bottlenecks, and ensure operational readiness.
- The position requires deep expertise in Linux, networking, automation tools, containerization, cloud platforms, scripting, and programming, with a focus on OpenStack, Kubernetes, and related technologies.

Requirements
- At least 5 years of practical Linux administration experience (CentOS, Ubuntu, RHEL).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in software development, Systems Administration, or SRE roles.
- Deep understanding of Linux OS, troubleshooting, and tuning.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and network equipment.
- Practical experience with SaltStack, Puppet, Ansible, or Chef.
- Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
- Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes, including operators and Helm.
- Strong experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of cloud environments such as OpenStack, AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Scripting skills in Bash, Groovy, and Python; mid-level in Go or C is a plus.
- Deep understanding of OpenStack architecture and production deployment experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of SDN solutions like Open Virtual Network, Open vSwitch.
- Experience with Open Search, Grafana, and Prometheus stacks.
- Good communication skills, ability to work with distributed teams, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
