The Protocol Security Engineer will protect ZKsync's core components — smart contracts, ZK circuits, and blockchain nodes — by performing internal security reviews, threat modeling, adversary research, and participating in incident response.
The role owns secure architecture and implementation for adopted protocol components, embeds secure-design practices across development teams, tracks industry exploits to convert lessons into system improvements, and applies modern AI systems to scale security operations.
The position is a hands-on individual contributor role with broad license to identify and fix security gaps and will participate in security investigations often under time pressure.
