📋

Description
  • Marco is hiring a Data Analyst for their client DSLRPros to stand up business intelligence from the ground up and then operate it.
  • The role requires architecting and implementing a reporting stack including source connections, a central data layer, ETL/ingestion approach selection, and Looker as the reporting front end.
  • You will build documented data models, consolidate data across Shopify Plus, Pipedrive, QuickBooks Online, ShipStation, PandaDoc, Rippling, Google Analytics, and Asana, reconcile discrepancies between systems, and maintain one agreed definition for every metric.
  • You'll own the company-wide KPI framework and tracker, produce monthly performance reporting for nine departments across three brands, run ad hoc analyses (product line profitability, customer segments, sales performance, operational throughput), and produce monthly executive packages.
  • The role also includes building and maintaining Looker dashboards, presenting findings to the executive team and department leads, documenting data sources/processes, and recommending improvements to scale reporting as the company grows.

🎯

Requirements
  • 3–5 years in a data analyst, business intelligence, or analytics engineering role
  • Strong SQL
  • Hands-on experience building or managing a cloud data warehouse (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or similar)
  • Experience implementing ETL/ingestion from SaaS APIs (Fivetran, Airbyte, or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated experience building dashboards in Looker or Looker Studio from scratch, including the underlying data model
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills to consolidate messy data from several systems
  • Proven ability to explain data to non-analysts and present to executives
  • Built a reporting stack before (experience building end-to-end, not just working inside one)
  • Fluent in English with clear verbal and written communication
  • Comfortable being the only data person and able to document thoroughly
  • Preferred: E-commerce and CRM data experience, particularly Shopify and a sales CRM such as Pipedrive
  • Preferred: Familiarity with accounting data and financial concepts such as margin, COGS, and contribution
  • Preferred: Python or a similar language for data manipulation and automation
  • Preferred: Experience at a small company owning reporting end to end
  • Preferred: Experience integrating data from an acquired company into an existing reporting structure
