- The company is seeking an experienced engineer to build secure, scalable, and highly available cloud database platforms for government and enterprise clients across various environments.
- The role involves designing solutions for high-performance, regulated systems, including environments with restricted or no internet connectivity.
- Responsibilities include developing deployment automation, ensuring software parity across infrastructure, optimizing database performance, integrating security mechanisms, and automating deployment processes.
- The candidate will collaborate with security, core, and infrastructure teams to ensure compliance with frameworks like NIST, FedRAMP, IRAP, and Protected B.
- The position requires experience with Kubernetes, containerized deployments, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and programming in Go or Python.

Requirements
- 6+ years of relevant software development experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed systems.
- Experience with ClickHouse or relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes tools (Helm, Kustomize, operators, Istio, service mesh).
- Experience with secure, regulated, or restricted network environments (including airgapped architectures).
- Experience with containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) in regulated or enterprise environments.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or on-prem equivalents).
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (Go or Python) for automation and integration.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team and across engineering teams.
- Strong problem-solving and production debugging skills.
- Passion for efficiency, availability, scalability, and data governance.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and take ownership.
