Description
- The Enterprise Security Engineer implements, operates, and improves security controls across identity, endpoints, network, cloud (AWS/GCP), SaaS, and data-protection domains.
- The role partners with Enterprise IT, Corporate Engineering, SRE and Platform teams, Business Systems, Product Security, Legal, Privacy, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable security improvements across Atlassian’s corporate environment and contributes to Atlassian’s “Customer Zero” initiative.
- Responsibilities include remediating access and configuration gaps; rolling out secure baseline configurations; participating in security reviews for new tools and integrations; supporting cyber-related physical security integrations; strengthening identity lifecycle management, privileged access, authentication, authorisation, and access reviews; monitoring insider risk signals and anomalous access patterns; implementing and monitoring security guardrails and posture baselines across cloud and SaaS suites; maintaining endpoint security agents and device compliance policies across macOS and Windows; implementing and tuning DLP and data-classification controls; building scripts, API integrations, and automations (e.g., Python, Bash, Go); maintaining infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD security checks; tracking operational metrics and contributing to SOPs and runbooks; participating in on-call rotations and post-incident reviews; and executing SaaS vendor security evaluations and third-party risk reviews.
