  • Virtru is seeking a Technical Curriculum Developer to design, develop, and deliver high-quality technical training content for their Data Security Platform.
  • The role involves translating complex technical concepts into accessible learning materials, building structured learning paths, creating assessments, and maintaining deep knowledge of the platform's capabilities.
  • The developer will collaborate with engineering, product, support, and sales teams to identify training needs, support new feature rollouts, and contribute to scalable training programs.
  • Responsibilities include creating modular content for various modalities, developing hands-on labs, troubleshooting scenarios, and incorporating real customer use cases.
  • The role also involves delivering live or virtual training sessions, gathering feedback, and iterating content for continuous improvement.
  • The ideal candidate has proven experience in technical training, strong communication skills, and a deep technical understanding of cloud, security, and data governance concepts.

Requirements
  • Proven experience designing and developing technical training for engineers, administrators, or highly technical audiences.
  • Ability to create hands-on labs and scenario-based exercises (command-line, configuration, troubleshooting).
  • Exceptional communication and simplification skills to break down complex systems.
  • Strong technical depth in cloud, security, data governance, or platform engineering.
  • Background in software design principles and understanding of common design patterns.
  • 5–7+ years in technical curriculum development, technical training delivery, or enablement roles.
  • Familiarity with data governance, access control models, policy-as-code, or DLP/frameworks.
  • Exposure to DevOps tooling, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Azure ARM), containers (Docker/Kubernetes), or modern deployment workflows.
  • Familiarity with programming or reading code snippets (Go, Java, JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, Bash).
  • Experience collaborating with engineering, product, and support teams.
  • Strong writing, editing, and instructional design skills.
  • Self-starter mindset, comfortable operating in ambiguity.
