Description
- The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is a versatile role responsible for designing, securing, and maintaining Stream IT’s core infrastructure, emphasizing Microsoft Azure and Fortinet technologies.
- The position supports hybrid cloud environments, leads modernization initiatives, and acts as a senior escalation point for complex network, identity, and systems issues.
- Key responsibilities include architecting and maintaining Azure IaaS/PaaS solutions, building hybrid-cloud solutions aligned with zero-trust security standards, managing Fortinet firewalls and network devices, supporting on-prem and cloud identity systems, ensuring uptime and performance of critical infrastructure, and participating in operational excellence activities such as writing SOPs and participating in on-call rotations.
- Qualifications include 5+ years of infrastructure engineering experience, strong hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls, advanced Azure expertise, hybrid AD/Entra ID administration, and strong networking skills.
- Preferred qualifications include Fortinet NSE 4–6 certifications, Microsoft AZ‑104, AZ‑305, or AZ‑500 certifications, and experience with compliance standards like SOC 2 / NIST CSF.
- The role requires problem-solving skills, clear communication, leadership ability, and flexibility for after-hours work and travel.

Requirements
- 5+ years experience in infrastructure engineering or similar roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls and technologies.
- Advanced Azure experience across compute, networking, identity, and automation.
- Hybrid AD/Entra ID administration experience.
- Strong networking skills including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, VPN.
- Automation experience with PowerShell, Terraform, or similar.
