  • The Software Engineer will work at the Texas Rocket Development Facility in Central Texas, as part of the Test Software team.
  • This team designs, develops, tests, and maintains software used for test stand data acquisition and control, data post-processing, and other engineering software needs.
  • The role involves working closely with test engineers, electrical engineers, and information technology teams to deploy high-performance software for test engineering.
  • Responsibilities include architecting and developing software for data acquisition, control, data storage and analysis, automation, and collaboration with various engineering teams.
  • The candidate will support active operations, own all aspects of software development, and provide technical leadership.
  • Basic qualifications include a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 1+ years of software development experience.
  • Preferred skills include experience with National Instruments hardware and software, proficiency in C++, Python, or similar languages, experience managing large distributed systems, and strong communication skills.
  • The position requires working in the office, with flexibility for extended hours, weekends, and shifts.
  • U.S. citizenship or legal authorization is required due to ITAR regulations.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or other science discipline
  • 1+ years of experience in software development
  • Experience with National Instruments hardware (cDAQ, cRIO, PXI) and software (LabVIEW)
