Description
- SOSi is actively seeking qualified, professional, and experienced Rohingya interpreters to provide over-the-phone interpretation services on a continuous basis (24/7/365).
- The interpreters will support disaster and humanitarian campaigns, performing consecutive interpretation, sight translation, and quality review of translated documents.
- The work environment is remote, and the position is on an as-needed basis.
- The role requires fluency in English and the target language, proficiency on the ILR scale of 2+, and experience with emergency relief efforts such as FEMA disaster response.
- Responsibilities include maintaining tone, emotional level, and clarity during interpretation, managing delivery speed, and requesting clarification when needed.
