Description
  • Sesame is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in product and wearable design to lead the mechanical development of innovative wearable electronics.
  • The role involves designing, simulating, prototyping, and supporting manufacturing of mechanical systems, working closely with electrical, firmware, and design teams.
  • Responsibilities include creating models, drawings, and specifications, evaluating materials, and managing fabrication partners.
  • The candidate should have at least 10 years of relevant experience, expertise in CAD and manufacturing techniques, and a strong understanding of materials.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience with product design.
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience with wearable product design.
  • Experience with complex electromechanical integration, including sensors, cameras, batteries, antennas, and audio systems, in very small form factors.
  • Working knowledge of material properties, such as plastics, metal, adhesive, and glass.
  • Experience shipping products in a lead or principal engineer role.
  • Expert with Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools & mechanical simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing techniques (stamping, machining, 3D printing, injection molding, etc).
  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
