Description
- Rackspace is seeking a highly accomplished Solution Director, Analytics & AI to lead the design and sales of two critical solution portfolios: generative AI/LLM solutions and data modernization/lakehouse architectures on AWS. This pivotal role requires mastery of both domains - leveraging generative AI capabilities (Amazon Q, Amazon Bedrock, QuickSight) to drive executive conversations and opportunity creation, while delivering enterprise data modernization through lakehouse architectures using AWS native services (Glue, SageMaker Unified Studio) and leading platforms (Databricks on AWS, Snowflake on AWS). The position demands cross-functional experience with proven ability to engage C-level stakeholders, drive top-of-funnel opportunity creation, and maintain comprehensive account ownership across the entire customer lifecycle.
- Responsibilities:
- Drive top-of-funnel opportunity creation through engaging C-level stakeholders with generative AI demonstrations and identifying data modernization needs.
- Lead the design and architecture of generative AI solutions and data modernization architectures.
- Act as a trusted advisor, positioning AI as transformational while grounding delivery in data platform modernization.
- Develop business cases connecting AI and data foundation ROI.
- Stay current with advancements in generative AI and modern data architectures.
- Contribute to Rackspace intellectual property.
- Serve as the primary technical executive for strategic accounts.
- Build relationships through executive demos and technical workshops.
- Lead consultative engagements translating AI vision into data modernization roadmaps.
- Develop Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Guide customers through AI adoption and data platform modernization.
- Collaborate with sales teams.
- Maintain deep expertise in generative AI and data platforms.
- Demonstrate understanding of cloud platform offerings and architectural decisions.
- Qualifications and experience:
- Deep experience with generative AI: Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Q, LLMs, RAG.
- Proven track record in data modernization: lakehouse architectures, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS Glue/EMR.
- At least 5 years as a senior architect or solutions leader in AI/ML and data modernization.
- Success engaging C-level executives.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML and data platforms.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, LangChain, vector databases, embedding models, PySpark, orchestration tools.
- Preferred qualifications:
- AWS professional services or partner ecosystem experience.
- Hands-on with multiple lakehouse and AI platforms.
- Industry certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, ML Specialty, Data Analytics, Databricks, Snowflake.
- Experience in regulated industries.
- Published thought leadership.
- Educational requirements:
- Bachelor's in CS, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics.
- Master’s or PhD preferred.

- Proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, LangChain, vector databases, embedding models, PySpark, orchestration tools
- Proven ability to articulate both visionary AI possibilities and practical data platform requirements to diverse audiences
