Description

  • The massive database market is projected to double over the next few years, with TiDB positioned as a major disruptor offering open-source, cloud-native, distributed SQL database solutions.
  • As an Account Executive, you will play an instrumental role in powering our revenue through innovative sales strategies, acquiring net new logo accounts, and engaging with prospects and clients daily.
  • Responsibilities include segmenting territories, generating qualified leads, following up on marketing leads, forecasting and tracking customer activity, understanding client needs, driving discovery and qualification using MEDDIC, gaining buy-in on our value proposition, progressing sales cycles, closing deals, sharing field insights, and managing individual expense budgets.
  • Qualifications include 5+ years of enterprise sales experience at an open-source or cloud solution provider, a customer-friendly approach, a track record of winning large opportunities, a bachelor’s degree, and willingness to travel.
  • The role offers a base salary range of USD $200,000 to $260,000, with additional benefits such as health insurance, flexible vacation, paid holidays, and parental leave.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a quota-carrying enterprise sales position at an established open-source technology company or a mature cloud-based solution provider (AWS/Azure/GCP, etc).
  • Willingness to prospect, engage clients, and help build sales playbook.
  • Strong ability to accelerate customer timelines and build large opportunities.
  • Experience and willingness to work in a startup environment with a focus on streamlining processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
