  • As a Principal Quantum Systems Research Scientist for Quantum Computing Applied Research, you'll lead the systems engineering to design, develop, and test the integration of QPUs into a fault-tolerant Accelerated Quantum Supercomputer, and work with multi-functional teams in Product, Engineering and Applied Research.

  • In this role, you’ll join a rapidly growing Quantum Computing team, and work with partners across the industry.
  • You’ll determine technical requirements of a complex hybrid quantum-classical system, engineer and integrate complex subsystems, and develop the design, analysis, and test for the system.

  • What you'll be doing: Path-find technical innovations in quantum-classical systems design and integration, working with multi-functional teams in Product, Engineering, and Applied Research Develop novel approaches to real-time calibration supported by rigorous systems analysis for a variety of qubit modalities Research and co-design integration of classical control systems, QPUs, and heterogeneous GPU and CPU compute, including computation and communication requirements Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on developing technology requirements and system components to enable fault-tolerant quantum computing Adopt a culture of collaboration, rapid innovation, technical depth, and creative problem solving.
  • Requirements include a PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field, with extensive background in Quantum Information Science and Systems Engineering, 12+ years of experience in quantum computing, hands-on experience with various qubits and controllers, and familiarity with control system co-design, benchmarking, AI/ML techniques, CUDA, and NVIDIA GPUs.
  • Benefits include highly competitive salaries, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.
  • Salary range: $232,000 - $368,000 USD.
