Description
- The position is fully remote with occasional travel, requiring experience in the commercial nuclear industry and familiarity with ASME NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, and 10 CFR 21.
- The QA Project Engineer supports project quality assurance activities, acts as a central contact for quality issues, and ensures quality requirements are understood and implemented across projects.
- Responsibilities include managing cross-functional quality interfaces, developing traceability matrices, coordinating responses to customer RFIs, managing first-of-a-kind issues, and supporting risk mitigation.
- The role demands strong communication, organization, and technical writing skills, with a minimum of 8 years of QA experience, a BS in a technical field, and prior nuclear industry experience.
- Physical demands include communication, learning, and travel.
- The target salary range is $127,104 - $153,401 annually, with a full range of $113,955 - $178,237.

Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor of Science in a technical field from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in quality assurance with responsibilities including developing requirement traceability matrices.
- Familiarity with ASME NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, and 10 CFR 21.
- Prior experience as a quality lead for large, complex projects.
- Strong technical writing, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organization skills and ability to manage complex projects with multiple phases.
- Prior commercial nuclear experience.
- Knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section III, Division 1.
- Experience with ISO 9001 and other international quality standards (preferred but not required).
- Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
