Description
  • NFL Films is seeking a Broadcast/Post-Production Engineering Associate who is a highly motivated, skilled, and passionate individual to join our team.
  • This position is responsible for designing, deploying, monitoring, maintaining, operating, and repairing production equipment systems as a senior member of the broadcast/post Engineering team.
  • The employee must be comfortable working in a Production Environment, supporting a team by bringing fresh insights, shared problem-solving, building trust and relationships with users of varying technical skills, and understanding users’ needs/pain points to deliver relevant solutions.
  • Responsibilities include managing technical facilities, complex broadcast production equipment, and network assets; leading broadcast and post engineering operations; acting as the primary technical contact; troubleshooting; building shows; managing maintenance; and training staff.
  • The role requires working evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts, with a flexible rotating 24/7 schedule.
  • The position demands extensive experience with professional Video, Audio, Post Production, and Broadcast systems, including management of various hardware and software tools, network infrastructure, and broadcast equipment.
  • Skills in data networking, computer systems (Windows, Mac, Linux), storage systems, media management tools, video signals, and troubleshooting are essential.
  • Preferred qualifications include a BA/BS in related fields, experience in Video, Audio, and Post Engineering, and knowledge of SMPTE 2110 systems.
  • The role is onsite at NFL offices or stadiums, with no remote or hybrid options.
  • The salary range is $50,000 - $60,000 USD.

Requirements
  • 6 or more years of experience maintaining professional Video, Audio, Post Production, and Broadcast systems.
  • Hands-on management and maintenance of Audio, Video, Grading, Graphics, Transcode, Storage, Client and VM systems, network infrastructure, and broadcast systems and software.
  • Strong technical experience and exposure to broadcast television production equipment, including tape, drive, and memory-based video recorders, production switchers, routers, cameras, transmission and encoding equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of television systems engineering.
  • Experience in professional Video and Audio system development and deployment using current tools.
  • Ability to assist in development efforts around new and emerging post-production, media management, and broadcast processes.
  • Collaborate with engineers and operators in designing, developing, and deploying new systems and processes.
  • Manage post-production system life cycles.
  • Knowledge of data networking.
  • Proficient computer skills in Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with enterprise storage systems (Dell/EMC, Vast, Open Drives, NetApp, etc).
  • Experience with Interplay, NEXIS, Media Central Cloud UX, Media Composer, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Blackmagic Resolve, IRIS QC, TeleStream DivaVantage, and Stanza.
  • Strong understanding of video signals (SD, HD, UHD, HDR, SRT) and compression formats (XDcamHD50, MPEG2/4, XAVC, DNX, ProRes).
  • Experience with Windows 11, Windows Server, Linux, macOS, NFS, CIFS, SMB, switches, routers, firewalls, TCP/UDP/IP, DNS, Signiant file acceleration tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
