Description
  • Lucid Motors is seeking an intern for the Controls and Automation Engineer position on the Powertrain Data and Automation Team.
  • The role involves designing and building automated test systems for power electronics validation, developing test applications using NI LabVIEW and Python, analyzing test equipment, and collaborating with multiple teams to meet project deadlines.
  • The position offers a 12-week internship in Newark, CA, with a fully in-person work environment, and provides benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
  • The intern will work on developing automated test equipment, troubleshooting electrical systems, and contributing to documentation and testing processes.
  • Compensation ranges from $43 to $63 per hour, depending on location and degree level.

Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Knowledge of NI LabVIEW and NI Teststand concepts & programming
  • Experience with developing & maintaining LabVIEW applications
  • Experience with communication protocols like Automotive Ethernet, Serial, CAN, LIN
  • Experience in Data Acquisition & Handling NI Hardware and third-party Test Instruments
  • Experience in Functional Testing and End of Line Testing
  • Industrial testing/validation experience with power electronics components
  • Good software & hardware troubleshooting skills
  • Basic knowledge of electrical & electronics circuits and components
