Description
  • This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer in Malta. This role offers an exciting opportunity to design, deploy, and maintain scalable, resilient cloud infrastructure across multiple regions and cloud providers. You will work closely with software engineers to implement CI/CD pipelines, automate processes, and ensure security and compliance across the platform. The position is highly collaborative, allowing you to influence the departmental roadmap, drive infrastructure improvements, and contribute to a dynamic, growing team. Ideal candidates thrive in a remote, fast-paced environment and bring a mix of hands-on DevOps expertise, automation skills, and cloud engineering experience to empower global software deployments.
  • Accountabilities:
  • Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
  • Architect, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and ArgoCD to support continuous delivery and software deployments
  • Monitor, test, and maintain observability and alerting coverage across infrastructure and platforms
  • Contribute to strategic decisions for the departmental roadmap and platform architecture
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to support application deployment, scaling, and reliability
  • Analyze and integrate additional acquired technology stacks into a unified platform
  • Support security compliance and vulnerability management in collaboration with the security team
  • Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering roles
  • Strong proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) across one or more major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Deep expertise with Kubernetes, Linux, and associated toolsets
  • Experience building, scaling, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or similar)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Bash for automation and tooling
  • Solid understanding of networking principles, cloud architecture best practices, and security frameworks (SOC2)
  • Experience collaborating with security teams to triage vulnerabilities and ensure compliance
  • Bonus Qualifications:
  • Data engineering experience, working with ETL pipelines or data warehouses
  • Security certifications (CISM, CISSP)
  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP Associate or Professional)
  • Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKS, KCNA, KCSA, CKAD)
