- The Practice Engineer role involves building and maintaining platforms, dashboards, and tools that support GitLab's strategic customer journeys: AI Modernization, Security Modernization, and DevOps Modernization.
- You will design and develop applications using modern web technologies (Vue.js, React, TypeScript, Python), create integrations with enterprise platforms like Salesforce, Gainsight, Kantata, and automate processes to improve operational efficiency.
- You will also create documentation, technical artifacts, and support onboarding and troubleshooting for CX Engineering tools.
- This is a remote role on a small, impactful team focused on delivering measurable customer outcomes and operational excellence.

Requirements
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Ruby.
- Experience building web applications using modern frontend frameworks (Vue.js, React, or similar).
- Familiarity with REST APIs, GraphQL, and common integration patterns.
- Experience working with Git, GitLab CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices.
- Understanding of database technologies (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
- Comfort working with cloud platforms (GCP or AWS) and containerization tools like Docker.
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle, DevOps, and DevSecOps practices, as well as GitLab’s product capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, async-first environment.
