Description
  • For an international Food Ingredients Distributor working in Europe and Africa we are looking for the Bakery & Confectionery Application Technologist m/f/d.
  • Applications include chocolate, coatings, compounds, baked goods (including savory snacks), bakery enzymes, confectionery (e.g., gummies, dragees, candies), fine bakery glazes, fillings, bars.
  • The Application Technologist serves as our expert in both the theoretical and practical aspects of a specific application area.
  • This role plays a pivotal part in identifying market trends and translating them into recipes, concepts, and campaigns.
  • The Application Technologist develops expertise in new ingredients, explores their synergies with other components, and creates application-focused knowledge.
  • Additionally, the Technologist designs and delivers application training programs and client seminars.
  • The Application Technologist acts as the primary point of contact for our Technical Sales Managers (TSMs) requiring application support to advance key projects.
  • The position is ideally remote, working from home and approximately 3 days per week from the company's technical centre in Györ, Hungary, with travel costs paid by the company.
  • The role involves developing concepts, campaigns, and recipes, providing technical support, designing and conducting training, supporting client trials, engaging with suppliers and staying informed on EU regulations.
  • Requirements include a degree in Food Technology or equivalent with 5+ years of experience, or vocational high school with 20+ years of experience, expertise in application areas, ability to design experiments, strong communication skills, excellent English, and willingness to travel (about 60%).
  • The role also involves experience with applications like chocolate, coatings, bakery enzymes, confectionery, and more.
