Description
- The Senior Government Accounting Manager is responsible for compliantly developing Forward Pricing Rate Proposals (FPRPs) and the annual Incurred Cost Submission (ICS) for the GE Aerospace Defense & Systems organization.
- This role partners with functional leadership to enable compliant operating practices, policies, and indirect rates that maximize recovery of costs on US Government contracts.
- Key responsibilities include analyzing financial data, managing rate lifecycle processes, supporting audits, applying lean concepts to streamline processes, and engaging with government regulators such as DCMA and DCAA.
- The role also involves preparing cost forecasts, performing variance analysis, supporting rate negotiations, and ensuring accurate ICS reconciliation.
- The position requires a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field, with 4+ years of cost analytics experience and 3+ years in cost accounting, along with significant knowledge of government regulations (CAS, FAR, DFARS, DCAA).
- Preferred qualifications include an MBA, CPA/CMA, government audit experience, and proficiency with tools like Excel, Oracle, Tableau, and data mining tools.
- The position is remote, with a salary range of $137,000 - $183,000, and offers benefits including health coverage, retirement plans, tuition assistance, parental leave, disability and life insurance, and paid time off.

- 3+ years cost accounting experience.
- Significant experience in Finance, Government Accounting, and applicable regulations and guidance (CAS, FAR, DFARS, DCAA Contract Audit Manual).
