Description
- As an Effectual Cloud Migration Engineer, you will be an important member of a migration team assisting clients who are migrating from on-premises infrastructure or VMC to AWS cloud native services. You will work with a technical leader to implement, manage, and migrate workloads to AWS cloud environments, while maintaining optimal migration strategies for diverse application portfolios. The engineer will utilize AWS-native services, containerization, serverless architectures, and advanced analytics capabilities to modernize and migrate applications, ensuring seamless transitions that align with best practices and the Well-Architected Framework. This position reports to Sr Manager, Migrations and Modernizations.
- You will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing cloud migration projects on AWS, leveraging AWS migration tools and methodologies. Your tasks include designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code templates, monitoring performance, and providing technical guidance to client engineers. You will also work with security teams to implement security measures and troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
- Qualifications include 5+ years as a technical specialist, 4-7 years developing AWS infrastructure, 2+ years hands-on experience with AWS migration services, proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform / CloudFormation), scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash), and relevant AWS certifications.
- The role is remote, with benefits including health insurances, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and holiday leave. The salary range is $125,000 to $140,000 annually.

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a technical specialist
- 4-7 years of experience developing AWS cloud infrastructure
- 2+ years Hands-on experience with AWS migration services such as AWS Migration Hub (MGN), Database Migration Service (DMS), and AWS Cloud Migration Services
- Solid experience planning and executing cloud migration projects, including Mobilize and Migrate phases of AWS Migration
- Proficient in developing Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform / AWS CloudFormation)
- Experience with AWS core services and infrastructure components
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- 2+ years of experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Required Certifications: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
