About CodePath

CodePath.org is an education nonprofit building the largest pipeline of high-performing underrepresented software engineers in the industry. We target underserved colleges with diverse student populations and supplement college CS programs with cutting edge curriculum (iOS, Cyber Security, React) making students job-ready. To date, alumni have received internships at technology companies like Facebook, Airbnb, Microsoft, and Google. Our program provides classes, community, and career placement for underrepresented college students. Close to 80% of underrepresented CS majors currently leave CS before graduating. For those that do graduate, most will have skill gaps making them likely to be underemployed or leave the workforce altogether. Our program was originally developed as blended learning training and internship programs for Facebook. CodePath.org now delivers the same high quality courses at scale and for low cost across 30+ universities by leveraging a personalized learning platform built over the past couple years. The college to career skill gap is widening. Our needs for highly skilled workers are increasing and by 2025, the US will need an estimated 11 million more skilled workers than we are currently on track to produce. This is one of the most important issues of our time. Join us as we fundamentally rethink how technical higher education is delivered, and what outcomes can be expected to create educational equity for all.
