Bodwé is seeking a highly capable Project Manager to provide on-site leadership for operations at the Logistics Support Area (LSA) in Portland, Oregon.
The role involves operational oversight, stakeholder coordination, and quality assurance in a U.S.
Army contracting environment.
The Project Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, serve as the primary point of contact for government leadership, monitor performance, ensure compliance, and support contract management activities.
The position requires at least 5 years of project management or operations leadership experience, familiarity with Army logistics and contracting, and the ability to work independently as a 1099 contractor.
It is an on-site, full-time role with flexible hours, requiring physical activity and situational awareness.
The position is an independent contractor opportunity lasting at least 2 months, with potential extension through August 2026, based in Portland, OR.

Requirements
Minimum 5 years of project management, operations leadership, or contracting experience.
Background supporting U.S. Army missions, logistics support contracts, contingency operations, or performance-based service contracts.
Strong familiarity with Army contracting/acquisition environments, PWS/SOW-driven execution, and contract administration.
Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in project tracking, reporting, and documentation tools.
Ability to work independently as a 1099 contractor with minimal supervision.
Experience as a warranted Contracting Officer (KO/CO) or former 51C/1102 with operational contracting experience (preferred).
Experience with LOGCAP, WEXMAC, AFC, TACOM, or similar Army support programs (preferred).
Former military experience in logistics, contracting, engineering, sustainment, or related roles (preferred).
Professional certifications such as PMP or equivalent (preferred).
Local to Portland or able to self-arrange travel.
