Description
- Please Note: This is a remote position available in the state listed on this job.
- Additionally, employment with BambooHR is contingent on passing both a background and credit check.
- Essential Job Duties include training and tuning machine learning models, exploring data, applying NLP, building algorithms with LLMs, collaborating with data and AI engineers, evaluating new techniques, and monitoring production models.
- The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience coding in Python, proficiency with NLP and deep learning, strong mathematical foundation, and experience with SQL, pandas, Spark, and cloud-based ML workflows.
- They should be able to understand complex problems, write high-quality deployable code, and communicate effectively.
- Beyond technical skills, qualities like creativity, pattern recognition, and a collaborative mindset are valued.
- The role is suited for individuals with an advanced degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.

Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience as a data scientist
- Proficiency with Python and relevant libraries
- Ability to select and implement ML algorithms and optimize model performance
- Experience with NLP, text processing, LLMs, and conversational UX
- Strong mathematical foundation
- Experience working with SQL, pandas, Spark
- Expertise in designing and building deep learning architectures
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience with cloud-based tooling, git, notebooks, and ML workflows
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field or related Bachelor's with additional experience
