Description
- The job involves working with Data and AI, collaborating with Data Architects, Business Analysts, and Infrastructure teams to develop and optimize ETL processes using Ab Initio.
- Responsibilities include managing Ab Initio components, designing data pipelines for batch and streaming data, ensuring data quality and governance, performing performance tuning, and documenting technical solutions.
- The role also includes active participation in projects related to Data Governance, Data Catalogs, and regulatory compliance, along with presenting technical solutions to stakeholders.
- The position is based in Munich, with potential locations in Frankfurt, Essen, Leipzig, or Berlin, starting from January 2026.

Requirements
- Completed degree in (Business) Informatics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
- Deep expertise of at least 3-5 years in Ab Initio, especially with GDE, Co>Operating System, Express>It, and Metadata Hub.
- Several years of experience in developing and maintaining complex ETL architectures.
- Excellent knowledge of SQL, databases (e.g., Oracle, Teradata, PostgreSQL), and Unix/Linux scripting.
- Solid understanding of metadata management, data lineage, and data governance.
- Experience in performance optimization and debugging complex ETL processes.
- Knowledge of batch and streaming processing (e.g., Kafka, Spark) is advantageous.
- Strong consulting personality with the ability to lead clients through complex technical projects.
- Experience in agile project environments and familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
- Analytical thinking, high quality orientation, and structured working style.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for effective coordination with technical and business stakeholders.
