Description
- Akuity, a company focused on simplifying software delivery with Kubernetes and GitOps, is hiring a Developer Advocate to engage with the developer community, create technical content, and promote their platform.
- The role involves acting as a subject matter expert on Argo CD and Kargo, delivering talks at conferences and webinars, engaging across various channels, and collaborating with product and engineering teams.
- The position is community-facing, highly visible, and requires travel (~20%).

Requirements
- 3–5 years as a software developer, platform engineer, SRE, or DevOps engineer.
- 5–10 years total professional experience, ideally in B2B SaaS startups (Seed to Series C).
- Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and open-source ecosystems.
- Proven ability to engage technical audiences through events, webinars, or technical training.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for community building and developer advocacy.
- Experience with creating technical content such as blog posts, tutorials, demos, videos.
- Experience speaking at conferences, webinars, or industry events.
- Hands-on familiarity with Argo CD (can be learned in role).
- Experience with Kargo or similar deployment tools (Nice to Have).
- Knowledge of CNCF, KubeCon, and open-source community dynamics (Nice to Have).
- Prior experience creating SDKs, sample code, or developer documentation (Nice to Have).
- Able to travel quarterly (~20%) and based in the U.S. or Canada.
