  • AccuWeather is seeking an accomplished, strategic and results-driven Advertising Sales Director – West Region to help build and sell digital advertising solutions.
  • This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced salesperson with a proven track record to navigate complex digital media and data targeting solutions, play a key role in developing the region, acquire and deliver net new revenue and logos, work cross-functionally to develop innovative advertising solutions, and build lasting client relationships.

  • This role will manage Holding Company agency and brand relationships with a focus on media buyers, Agency Investment Leads, Brand Teams, Programmatic Buying Arms and Data Analytics & Strategy Teams.
  • In partnership with senior leadership, this role will develop a strategy specific to assigned holding companies, while driving AccuWeather’s media, data, measurement and analytics revenue.
  • This position requires extensive knowledge of the changing agency & media landscape, the drive to develop industry-transforming strategies and the ability to build relationships with senior agency management and brands direct.
  • Agency experience is nice to have but not required — what’s critical is a strong desire to break new business, acquire logos, and compete with a winning spirit.
  • The ideal candidate is skilled in relationship building, has a strong POV on AI-driven market changes, demonstrates great presentation skills, and understands how to leverage measurement & analytics to evaluate performance.
  • This position will be located remotely on the West Coast with the expectation of traveling as needed to be successful in the role.
  • Key responsibilities include achieving revenue goals, building relationships at the highest levels within agencies, shaping product and marketing roadmaps, prospecting new business, managing client accounts, maintaining pipeline, contributing to events, collaborating internally, leading initiatives, and acting as a thought leader in the industry.
  • Qualifications include a BA/BS degree, 5+ years digital ad sales experience, strong communication and relationship skills, and a hunter mentality.
  • Preferred qualifications include expertise in programmatic advertising and building relationships with senior agency decision makers.
